Good Afternoon Clinton County Community Leaders –
With so many improvements taking place at Clinton Transit, from expanded service hours to a mobile app for scheduling rides, I want to make it as easy as possible for you to share our service information with your constituents. In an effort to get the word out, we are asking our community partners to post the attached picture/link to your website. The link will take your constituents to our Schedule a Ride page on our website where they can fill out a form to sign up for our services and enroll in the mobile app. The mobile app allows passengers to schedule and cancel rides, see the location of the bus, in real time, when it is on it’s way to pick them up, and in the near future, pay for their rides using the mobile app. I have been told by some of our passengers who helped us test the mobile app over the last couple of months, they have found it to be very easy to use and they love the convenience of having their entire schedule of rides right on their smart phones. Long gone are the days when a passenger can not remember if they scheduled the ride or what time the bus will be there to pick them up. Additionally, the new scheduling software we launched in July 2021 provides passenger notifications, via a phone call 10 minutes before the arrival of the bus and a text message 5 minutes prior to the bus arriving. All of the new technologies we have added have improved customer accessibility and our performance efficiencies. We are providing more rides now, with less routes, than before the pandemic in March 2020. Our primary goal is and continues to be providing gold standard public transportation services for the communities we serve so you can expect to see more service improvements to come.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Clinton Transit remains committed to keeping the people of Clinton County connected to the important people and places in their lives and we thank you for your community support.
